Role of Christian Education Department
The Motto of Christian Education Department, Nyishi Baptist Church Council is to build better leaders for both church and secular society by bringing up the children in the Lord. The Department carries out children's ministry, adult education and theological education. Department conducts varieties of program like Sunday school teachers training, children’s camp, Vacation Bible School Retreat, Sunday School, World Sunday School, staff orientation, awareness tour on Christian education ministry, Theological student sponsorship program and Adult Literature Program etc. The Department manages the affairs of Arunachal Theological College (ATC)
Almost every church under NBCC has Christian Education Department for smooth functioning of the Sunday schools and therefore children are benefiting immensely from it. There are eleven full time Sunday school teachers and more than one hundred Sunday schoolteachers on volunteer service in their respective local churches. Those teachers are not only engaged in Sunday school activities but simultaneously they are giving their service in Adult Education activities teaching and promoting the Nyishi language.
One of the main pillars of strength of NBCC is the theological trained leaders available in organization.
This can be attributed to having own theological college namely the Arunachal Theological College
(ATC) erstwhile Arunachal Institute (ABTI). Maximum NBCC full time workers have received their theological
education. ATC is offering courses such as: Diploma in theology (Dip.Th), Bachelor of theology (B.Th), Church Music Training (CMT).It is accredited to Asia Theological Association (ATA)
Christian Education Department shall deals with the education of Theological study education (including ATC), Sunday school and Adult education. The affairs of the department shall be managed by departmental Committee with the Christian Education Secretary as the member secretary of the Committee along with manpower posted/recruited from time to time.
